Music is my passion. With this incredible art, it is how I found the right words that bring the rhythms and sounds, which helped me face life and ease how I express myself to the audience and the world.

My name is Tasha Tarusøva. I am an alternative rock singer from Ukraine. I owe much of the adoration and love for this art to great personalities such as Stevie Nicks, Dolores O’Riordan, Janis Joplin and Patty Smith, among other music legends. Who inspired me with their lyrics and melodies and made me want to be part of this beautiful form of expression

My musical career began in my home country. This profession has led me to great presentations and the unimaginable opportunity to express myself in front of large audiences. However, in February of 2022, as for many individuals and families, everything changed: my life, my career and the place I used to call home.

Trying to deal with the tremendous difficulties and rollercoaster of emotions that such harsh situations due to war can bring to anyone’s life. Yet, alongside an essential pillar in my life,  I had to start entirely from scratch, finding a new place to call home and start over. London. 

I sing about love, happiness, sadness and craziness. 

When I am sad or happy, when I have something to say or when the only thing that I want is to hide from the world, I write and compose. My motivations come from everything and anything. Moreover, my husband forms an essential pillar in my life and this profession. He is the one who inspires and motivates me a lot in my musical journey. I have many many songs which are entirely for him.

Living now in London, I began translating my existing songs and writing my new experiences in a foreign language. This inspired me to show my art to the world.

Back in Ukraine, I was set to open for The Killers in the summer, but the entire tour was cancelled due to the war.

I was interviewed for BBC Manchester Radio and BBC London, and they came to see my first concert at Off The Cuff.  I have had the opportunity to do more than 200 gigs around U.K. and Europe over the last two years.

 I’m always searching for more venues where I can share my music!
